Homestay is a wonderful and enriching experience - connecting people, sharing culture. Another Korean student just transferred to New Yorks' Columbia University; a Japanese passed the Boston bar exam (met him in Harvard before he flew back to Tokyo) and a German doctor and lawyer have returned a few times. Home is located in a quiet southwestern part of the city (only 15 mins. from the airport), with lots of amenities as banks, major grocery stores, parks, diverse and exotic food places. San Francisco State University is about 10 minutes away. San Francisco City College about 5 mins. - on a nice day, you can walk or bike. Bus (#14 Mission line) runs 24 hours daily to and from downtown. Bus stop is conveniently only 1 1/2 blocks away. For faster commute, nearest subway station (Balboa Park BART) is only 2 mins. by bus. BART train ride to Powell station (where the world famous cable cars and most of the English schools are) is only 11 mins. 1 room has it's own private bath. Food is on a wide variety of cuisine you will get acquainted with while in San Francisco (fee reduced if no dinner- breakfast only). Wireless internet is available anytime for free. Feel free to play the piano with your jazz or classical repertoire or have fun with our youngest son (2nd daughter visits from UC Irvine, eldest is from UC Berkeley) in his Wii band, PS2 games or Karaoke. Completing the family is our adopted miniature poodle "Coco," waiting eagerly by the living room window every afternoon, "barking" his heart out to welcome you back home from school. As we welcome you home as a guest, we trust you will fill your experience with great memories and miss you leave as a lifelong friend!
