I have hosted quite a number of international students in the past through schools and homestay organizations.
Last August I registered to try to find a match for a homestay. Just after I registered with you I received a message from a father in Korea looking for a homestay family in Waterloo in the exact area where we live. He wanted his son to attend a certain highschool with a great ESL programme.
Two days later Justin, his mother and his father were here, from Korea!
Justin has turned out to be one of the most awesome teens I have known. We've had a great year together and he will be back with us next school year.
Just after we agreed to host Justin I received e-mails from a friend of a university student in Korea wanting to come to Waterloo to learn English. Soon she was on her way and she has also been a real joy to have in our home. She is in an excellent English Language programme at Renison College, University of Waterloo.
In January, Soe-Hee asked if we would find a homestay for Sook-Hee, her parents friend's daughter.
Sook-Hee is 23 years old and she is studying English at Renison College, University of Waterloo. She too, is a very impressive guest in our home.

We have had great success getting students from
HomestayFinder.com.
We started doing homestay 10 months ago and so far, we had already hosted 5 students
using this website. Students are using this website because they save $200 by not
going through an agency. Also, this website allows the students and the hosts to
correspond to each other at a very minimal fee. Other websites charge a lot more
than this website.
When we contact the students and after a few emails and sometimes phone calls, we
would know if we have made a good connection or if we match their likes and interest.
Some of our friends who have been doing homestay for more than 3 years are wondering
why we never run out of students.
We just tell them, have you checked www.Homestayfinder.com? We have recommended
this website to a number of our friends already doing homestay and also to those
who want to start hosting students.
We enjoy hosting students. There's a lot to share.
We have hosted students from Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Korea, Canada and US.

I stayed with Arthur and Helen and their 21 month old son.
Deborah taught English in the Lanzhou Foreign Language (English) Senior Middle School,
in Gansu Province in China from mid March to early July. This programme is sponsored
